le petit Prince (the little Prince)

I'v just read the story and watched the animation about the little Prince. It is not so popular in our country. The novella is written by french Antoine de Saint-Exupery and published in 1943. This novella is the 4th most-translated book in the world. It was translated into more than 250 languages. After the outbreak of the Second World War Saint-Exupery was exiled to North America and he produced almost half of the writings for which he would be remembered, including a tender tale loneliness, friendship, love, loss and visionary, in the form of a young prince fallen to Earth.
little Prince always says that, grown-ups are strange. I'd like to share one of my favourite parts that proves his words:

"I have serious reason to believe that the planet from which the little Prince came is the asteroid known as B-612. This asteroid has only once been seen through the telescope. That was by a Turkish astronomer, in 1909
On making his discovery, the astronomer had presented it to the International Astronomical Congress, in a great demonstration. But he was in Turkish costume, and so nobody would believe what he said.
Grown-ups are like that...
Fortunately, however, for the reputation of Asteroid B-612, a Turkish leader made a law that his subjects should change to European costume. So in 1920 the astronomer gave his demonstration all over again, dressed with impressive style and elegance. And this time everybody accepted his report

If I have told you these details about the asteroid, and made a note of its number for you, it is on account of the grown-ups and their ways. When you tell them that you have made a new friend, the never ask you any questions about essential matters. They never say to you, "What does his voice sound like? What games does he love best? Does he collect butterflies?" Instead, the demand: "How old is he? How many brothers has he? How much does he weigh? How much money does his father make?" Only from these figures do they think they have learned anything about him..."

I add the links of the book and the animation. If you haven't read it yet, you can begin now :)
Grown-ups also can read and watch it.
