Film review, Film yorumu (Richard III)

I've just watched the movie Richard III (1955).  Richard III is an historical play believed to have been written in 1592 by William Shakespeare. The play (and also movie) is about throne games. First Richard made some plans to seize the throne, then he achieved but he didn't keep his promises. Because of it, people that fought with him turned against him and changed sides. They went to Henry Tudors side and won the battle of Bosworth.

The movie was directed by Laurence Olivier and also he played the role of Richard in the movie. Richard is an ugly hunchback who is "rudely stamped, deformed, unfinished".

This is a facial reconstruction of Richard III produced by University of Dundee. (I think, it looks like Lord Farquaad from Shrek movie)

At the end of the movie there is an interesting scene. In this scene Richard III says: "My kingdom for a horse". At the battle he lost his horse, his army, his kingdom... everything... His rage made him to shout" I need a horse..." in order to fight again... There is a funny story about this scene in our country. One of the actors who plays Richard III in the theater shout: "I need a horse". One man shouts from his seat: "How about a donkey?" The actor answers: "Good. Come" :)
